We all regularly use Goldwire Lane as a direct route into town
from Overmonow.
We have used it for years and had to stand back as vehicles came
past , breathing in the fumes.
Since the lane has been closed to through vehicles we have been
able to walk without having to squeeze onto the payment all the
time.
Many children walk this route alone on their way to the schools,
usually in threes and fours.
Many older local residents have walking frames .
We had no knowledge of a local consultation.
