Monmouthshire County Council is proposing to develop two sites
on Mitchel Troy Common for pitches for the gypsy traveller
community, risking significant harm to wildlife, biodiversity and
ecology in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, increasing
pollution in the River Trothy and increasing traffic in narrow
country lanes that are unsuitable for large vehicles. We the
undersigned believe the two sites proposed are unsuitable for
development of any kind, including as sites for the gypsy traveller
community and we call on the County Council to withdraw them. For
