Due to the Chair and Vice-Chair being unavailable to attend the meeting, we elected County Councillor David Jones as Chair for today’s meeting.

None received.

The minutes of the meeting held on 22^nd July 2024 were confirmed as an accurate record.

We excluded the press and public from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business in accordance with Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 12 and 14 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

We considered 11 applications received against the Trust Fund, presented on behalf of the Chief Officer for Children and Young People.

The Trust resolved that:

(i)            awards be made to nine of the applicants, subject to appropriate receipts and evidence of attendance being received. Officers would liaise with some of these applicants to obtain further information.

(ii)          two applications did not receive funding at today’s meeting. Officers would liaise with the two applicants to obtain further information. When the additional information has been received, the applications will be re-presented to a future meeting of the Trust for consideration.

(iii)         a report be presented to the next meeting of the Trust outlining the Authority’s public transport policy and pence per mile rates, with a view to aiding students when applying for funding against the Trust in respect of their travelling costs to college.
