The minutes of the meeting of Central Mon Area Committee were approved and signed by the Chairman.

There were no matters for public open forum.

Following the previous meeting the Chair had had discussions with the Head of Policy and Governance around the direction of Area Committees, and the alignment with Cluster Groups.  It was recognised that there was no necessity for Central Mon Area Committee to develop that way of working and the Committee agreed to look into the idea again in the future.

We agreed that the Committee would identify issues that affect wards and residents.  Future agendas would include standard items of the public open forum, update from PSBs, Actions.

Items raised:

Car Park Issues:

·       Delay of the construction of the car park adjacent to Monmouth School for Boys.  Chair to write to Roger Hoggins for update.

·       Car Park problems at County Hall, Usk. 

·       Car Park opposite Usk Prison

3G Pitch at Coleg Gwent, Usk – Chair to write a letter of support, details to be provided by Cllr L. Jones.

Traffic on the Lidl roundabout in Wyesham needs to be addressed.

Speeding of traffic through Raglan Village, residents have requested a ‘children playing’ sign – Chair to write to Trunkl Road Agency to look at Raglan Road, copy in Nick Ramsay and R.T. Davies.

We agreed the date of the next meeting as Wednesday 18^th April 2018 at 10am – Venue TBC.
