Decision details

1.    The local authority has completed its consultation on the proposed closure of the Special Needs Resource Base (SNRB) at Deri View Primary School, for pupils aged 4 to 11 years with moderate learning difficulties and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. This consultation constitutes part of Stage 2 of the Additional Learning Needs Review of provision across the county.

2.    The purpose of the report is to provide Cabinet with the consultation report, which studies the responses received in reply to the proposals arising from the consultation undertaken.

To fully consider the place of the SNRB within a the much wider review currently underway including the provision for Additional Learning Needs and Inclusion Services across the authority and the South East Wales region.
