The Principal Licensing Officer introduced the report noting that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the consultation feedback and approve the revised Taxi and Private Hire Licensing Policy to take effect from 1 January 2026.  A Registered Taxi Driver also attended, representing himself to respond to the consultation. As per the report recommendations, the Taxi and Licensing Committee considered the responses following the consultation and the advice provided in paragraph 3.4 of the report by Licensing.

Upon being put to the vote, Members approved the new policy and conditions to come into force on 1st January 2026.
