We elected County Councillor D. Jones as Chair.

We appointed Councillor D. Havard as Vice-Chair.

There were no declarations of interest made by Trustees.

The minutes of the Monmouthshire Farm School Endowment Trust dated 18^th January 2016 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman.

We received a report presented by the Finance Manager regarding the Monmouthshire Farm School Endowment Trust Fund Annual Report for the year ended 31^st March 2016.

In doing so, the following points were noted:

• Since changing the investment strategy for the Trust, there have been significant gains in income generated.

·         No requests for funding have been received yet.  However, the Trust will be receiving requests for funding in time to be considered at the next meeting on 26^th September 2016.

·         The Finance Manager has developed a leaflet identifying that funding via the Trust could be applied for by eligible students.  This information would be available at colleges and on websites.

·         This information would also be despatched to young farmers.

·         The Finance Manager would investigate options for making the leaflets available at the Monmouthshire County Council stand at the Eisteddfod.

We resolved to adopt the statement of accounts for the year ended 31^st March 2016 in respect of the Monmouthshire Farm School Endowment Trust. 

·         Monday 26^th September 2016 at 11.00am.

·         Monday 23^rd January 2017 at 11.00am.

Future meetings of the Monmouthshire Farm School Endowment Trust will be held at County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk at 11.00am on the following dates:

Monday 26^th September 2016

Monday 23^rd January 2017.
